Works great! Arrived quickly and at a fantastic price.
The pins are not too stout. They are not lasting very long. I suggest you sell just the pins witht he soldering fixture so people can repair the their AIOC when the pins give up they goast. It deosn't take long. In two week of plugging and unplugging destroyed the pins. The second I'm leaving pluged into the radio. I don't want to plug and unplug too much.
worked beautifully! Thanks for great products at stellar prices! You'll be doing more business with me.
I’m revising my review from a one to a five due to na6d proactively refunding my kit purchase and the personal note. Thank you for your stellar customer service. The refund was uncalled for since it was my ineptness that caused the kit board to fail. The assembled version is working flawlessly and I’m very happy with its performance. I’m sure your “getting started”instructions intended to be included in future kits will do fine for those like me with shaky hands & weak eyes. Thank you.
Works both to program and then to interface Dire Wolf with a UV-82. Which is what I expected it to do. Cheaper than a DigiRig for Baofengs.
Super easy to build and use. Up and running in less than 15 minute.
Nice product, no assembly directions. Botched job putting it together. Product not working, MONEY WASTED & wound up buying a assembled unit. Your kit product needs instructions clearly showing where to solder & where NOT to solder.
Hi Robert, I apologize for the frustration and have already updated our getting started page. I hope your assembled unit gets you on the air without any further hassle!
I got this card to use with a Kenwood/Baofeng type radio for Winlink VHF/UHF. But here are a few things that you need to know. I found out that if you use a AIOC card plugged into the side of the radio and attempt to transmit using the antenna on the HT, the RF will lock up the AIOC card almost every time. There are two workarounds to this - get a sma adapter cable and connect the HT to an external antenna. An external antenna mounted few feet away makes all the difference - Problem solved. The other solution is to use the HT with its antenna, but solder two separate cables about a foot long to keep the RF away from the AIOC module. If possible, slip a ferrite ring around each cable for best results. Again, problem solved! Last, it would be nice if the two unsoldered plugs came with their covers or end caps. Instead, I will be using a 2.5 and 3.5 mm audio cable with one end cut off to solder onto the AIOC module. We've tested this many times and both solutions work.
I bought this cable because I have two AIOC cards with the pins soldered on them. This cable allows the AIOC to be located away from the HT's antenna when using the AIOC and HT for winlink email. If the AIOC is plugged into the side of the radio with a antenna inches away, the RF field locks up the card.
Wow! It took no time to get working with my Btech UV-PRO and VARA-FM. Good thing I had the adapter cable. I've been struggling with a Digirig for over two weeks and haven't been able to get it to work.
Works well at a good price. Use it for Winlink and Vara FM with Baofeng and Qrz handhelds.
The boards came preassmebled and flashed with the correct firmware. It’s a great board to do programming, APRS, and Winlink Mail.
A lot better then the fldigi coiled cable could use a hair more length when trying to use winlink and you have to move your ht for a signal over the whole package was a great purchase easy to set up and worked great with my ht
Needs some better quality control mine would not fit because of the branding call inside the case and is very fragile
